  1. Hi I'm looking for a HD cam under $300 bucks, mostly for shooting home videos. Im guessing there will be some low light conditions inside, but nothing too bad, but I would like it to be decent in these conditions. I have look a fair bit at a few cameras, Im pretty set on a sony, or canon seem to be the better ones. I don't want a JVC Iv had bad luck with their stuff in the past.

    I did find one like the above with built in 16gb and a flash slot, for $300 at a future shop i believe.

    There is some more variations in the actual stores vs online.

  2. HV20 is a good choice .I bought mine refurb for $500

    if you don't like to deal with tapes .check the Panasonic HDC-TM55K(I own) or a used TM60

  3. unfortunately I would prefer to buy a new one vs a used one since it will be a christmas gift. Im not too keen on refurbs Iv had issues with some refurb stuff in the past.

    Sony HDRXR150
    Has a 120 gb internal drive, 299. On sale.

    HD, CMOS sensor what do you guys think?
