So, in the future I'm looking to blow $7000 or so on an HDTV...something worth saving up for. So far I've had my eyes on the Mitsubishi Laservue, 3D, or LED TV's - http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/laser.html - but I'm not sure if Mitsubishi is any good for HDTV. Is the Laservue legit? If there's something much better out there, I'd love to hear of it.

Some things I'm considering with the new TV are:

    - I'd like to be able to use it in conjunction with a computer that has HDMI out so I can play movies on Windows Media Center

    - I want to play Wii and other video games on it. However, I have heard of people having lag on their Wii's when playing certain HD TV's. Can this be prevented? And what about burn-in?

    Thank you very much!

Depending on what you want, don't wait too long to buy. Mitsubishi has announced they are getting out of the consumer mass-market TV business in N. America. In the future, they will only be producing very large TVs, over 65 inches, mostly intended for public venues. http://www.cepro.com/article/is_mitsubishi_abandoning_consumer_channel/

Blow a few hundred (no sales commision allowed*) on a CEDIA certified (or better) home theater consultant.

Don't overlook after sales issues that will be many and expensive.

    * especially on extended warranties that are mostly sales commission with no value.
