Hi, I recently bought some movies for my bluray player (stand-alone for tv). One of them has Isolated Score track in DTS-HD Master Audio (5.1).
I've also just recently bought a bluray drive for the PC (internal).

I've used DVDFab to rip the movie to the HDD along with the DTS-HD Isolated Score.

But when I use tsMuxeR to demux the Isolated score, it extracts it as .dts and not .dtshd, is that normal? Is it still lossless?
With MediaInfo, it shows both the lossless DTSHDMA and the lossy DTS core.

    1) does it matter that it's .dts and not .dtshd? The DTSHDMA is still in the .dts file.

    2) is there any way I can edit the lossless version of the track?

I want to cut the isolated score into tracks so i dont have to listen to it with the long silences in between.
The chapters are not consistent with the music cues.
I don't want to extract the DTS core and edit that, since it's lossy.

i'll edit this and fill in more details.
i got to get going now.
i tried to search for more information but didnt have much luck.

thanks in advance for any information

I want to get rid of the lossy DTS core and edit the lossless DTSHDMA into multiple tracks for a custom soundtrack.

I hear some people saying that converting it to FLAC should do the trick.
But there's little information if it converts the lossless DTSHDMA or if it converts the lossy DTS core.

    Hi there.

Just don't use TSmuxer for demuxing Blu-Ray content.
    eac3to is the recommended tool.
    For extracting/converting lossless DTS,
you will also need the decoder from ArcSoft though.
@ the Doom9 forums, there exist some threads that teach us
how to use only the necessary files, without having to install the
    complete bloatware on our PCs.

Yeah, that's the other thing I was going to bring up, I've got eac3to plus the Arcsoft decoder.

I'll check out the doom9 forums though to get more input on the process.

    thanks for the info!

  4. Why shouldn't you use TSmuxer for de-muxing?
