    When using "Avidemux 2.5" i can view the video when skipping through the clip but it just wont play.

    Any ideas? ? ?

    The video file is, in fact, damaged. It plays fine for a few seconds < 30. Not likely to be a header issue.

    Thank you for having a look at the clip.

    Everyone keeps talking about Disc Doctor Digitial Media Recovery. Stupid demo version has limited features. Dont want to purchase a product if i dont know it cant handle the job,

  5. I just completed a transcoding of the video footage using the Daniusoft MOD Converter. It came out as 6:57 in length, but was still frames for most of the video. Audio is missing in the left track. Click image for larger version

    I tried the above program with the posted video file and had a successful repair. It got back just over 7 minutes
    of playable video.
