    Just want to know what the Essential plugins are for the above listed program. Those that aren't included when purchased. For DVD authoring.

    Vegas is not a DVD authoring program.

    Not to be rude, but the box says HD video editing, audio mastering, & DVD/BD authoring. I have the Production Suite 10 Platinum.

    The Vegas 10 Platinum product includes a feature reduced version of DVD/BD Architect. Since I own the Pro version, I've had no reason to test the Platinum version so can't comment on features. The product can make DVD and AVCHD discs out of the box although I like to use Multiavchd and the x264 codec for AVCHD discs.

    As for plug-ins, I'd say none are essential. It depends how you are using Vegas. Most plug-ins enhance audio or video effects. My favorite companion product is Cineform Neoscene which improves HDV/AVCHD performance on the timeline.
