I am so new to this, it seems I'll never know all the terms, but here goes. With Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD, can you add photos inbetween portions of the video? If so how do you do this?

    Thanks

Not really familiar with Vegas, but to add a photo to a existing video, it usually needs to be the same resolution as the video. Here's a couple of guides that might help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YR4TZNyIi4 Or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLle6dbnf88

One of our Vegas users here may have better information.

    And welcome to our forums.

I switched from Premiere Pro and Elements to Vegas Movie Studio HD 10 a while back. I tried mixing different resolutions of photos and videos in the time line, then rendered them to MC MPG2 without any issues. Just import your media into the project media area, then drag them onto the time line in your desired order. There, you can adjust their duration and add transitions and music etc.
As redwudz mentioned, youtube is a great resource for Vegas info. Do a search on Vegas Movie Studio, Movie Studio HD etc. You will find a great selection of tips and techniques.

You can either split the video "s" and move the cut video section over and place your picture & resize if you need to, or just place it above. Here I split the video and placed the picture between sections of cut video. If you just have videos and intend to just places images between them, that works well too.
