I realize the AG-1970 isn't one of the ridiculously sought-after units as far as VCR's... but hey, if I lived in Indy I would spend $10 on a working AG-1970...

Thought I would share! I live in Philly so I'm obviously not buying

So how do you know what model it is ?

I sure can not tell from that photo!!

It amazes me how people post things on CL with a price and tell you nothing about it.

Works fine, but obviously outdated- it is a VCR
Yep, the title was a dead giveaway that it's a VCR!!
But form the photo i could have sworn it was a turntable!!
    LOL!!

Mostly PC's i seem to notice.

Hi, i have this nice working PC for $500.00.
Hurry and call before it's sold!!
    LOL!!

Well, if you know VCR's it has to be either an AG-5710, AG-1980, or AG-1970. Those were the only ones made that looked like that... and since it doesn't say "Desktop Editor" in big letters in the middle of the front panel (even out of focus it would be obvious), you know it's not a 5710 or 1980

But yeah, I think some people just had computers built for them or had some guy at Best Buy tell them what they needed, so when they go to sell it they don't really know anything about it. Hence the vague listings.

The funny thing about listings like the one I posted is that VCR's like the one he has for sale are NOT average consumer models, so it makes me wonder how someone who doesn't know anything about it ended up with it in the first place!

This, in theory, is an oxymoron when you think about it.

As well too, I personally believe Craigslist should be renamed to Craplist for much of its content IMO. It's funny how they make many people believe they'll find quality buys, dwellings, automobiles, even love and careers on that thing... shame.
I hate VHS. I always did.
