  1. I am using handbrake to rip some DVD's into m4v with chapter markers.

Some episodes are out of sync though. What software can I use to alter the audio track but keep any chapter marker info intact?

Demux the audio with mympboxgui or yamb. Fix audio. Add back the audio to the mp4 with same tools.

Maybe you can adjust a delay directly in those tools also.

  3. do you know of anything that will make it easier to work out the delay i need. using 'j' and 'k' in vlc can correct it but there's nothing to tell me how much it's delayed by. and using the option to define it doesn't have any effect.
