Toshiba SD-4700N DVD Player

Hollo members,

I have just joined to this forum.

I have this Toshiba DVD SD-4700N player, some DVDs won't play and its shows as Loading Loading ...... only, most of the time it will play the DVD but it will Freeze time to time, what could be the problem, when I bought this DVD player paid big money and it was playing fine but now adays with new DVDs giving trouble even retals DVDs, cheaper players plays all kinds of DVDs without any problems why is that ?

Is there we can upgrade firmware? I am technical person.

If it's having issues with retail DVD's, I'd say it's beginning to fail.

Burned media is a completely different story. Some players are picky about the type of media they support.

That player was sold 10 years ago! DVD players do not last forever. We all paid "big money" for DVD players back then. Just be glad you got as much time as you did out of it. Time to buy a new player.
