I've got A LOT of AVI and MKV files whose playback rate is just a tiny bit too fast. I'm guessing it's a PAL/NTSC issue, but all I can attest to, is that they play back juuuust fast enough to annoy me. The audio/video sync is perfect, but both audio and video are sped up just a tiny bit, raising the audio pitch....massively annoying, especially on movies I'm intimately familiar with. IS there any easy way to correct this? I've done a bit of searching here and seen numerous instances of demux this and change that and remux everything back, but before I devote days to manually attempting this, I want to know if their's a utility or more 'automated' method for fixing this. I don't want a player that 'compensates' by playing back slower, I want a file that's right! Thanks!!

Sounds strange. How do you play them? Computer? It's not any pal/ntsc issue if you play on your computer.

On my computer. Doesn't matter whether it's GOM, VLC, WMP or Zplayer. Audio/video are always in-sync, but I assure you, they ARE playing too fast. If I happen to be using GOM, selecting play/slower slightly overshoots the proper speed, but does bring things closer to "right" (i.e. leaves the video playing a tiny bit too slow...with the audio following suit)

I have never seen this. I doubt any remuxing change anything.
