  1. Not sure where to post this question, but my hard drives failed and I used mini--tools to recover them. The only items I was really concerned about recovering were my movies. The transfer to a new hard drive went seemingly great and the standard DVDs now play fine. The blu-ray and HDDVDs however stop about 20-30 minutes in to them. Any ideas why and how to recover the missing info? Thanks

  3. NTFS, and when I rip new blu-rays now to the hard drive they play fine. It's only the ones I transferred that don't play all the way through.

What is the form of the BRs. Are they MKVs or just BR rips. When you plug them into MediaInfo what are the results? Also, do they show up as being the proper size or are they truncated?

If your playing them with software players on your computer do all software players stop at the same place?

You could also try to run them thru Makemkv and see if the resulting MKV plays.

  5. Tony, thanks for the help. The movies are BR rips and are not truncated. I inputted a folder into mediainfo and it looks fine (not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at) but it says 408 video streams and 408 audio streams. Ill also try the MKV and see what that does.
