    I have created a .avi file that I transferred to a IOMEGA Media player MX in order to display it on a Philips HD TV. It does not work, while it works with a .wmv file.
    what software would you recommend to convert my .avi file into a .wmv file?

    WME or WMM. But go back to your original source, not the AVI file you made from it.
