  1. I thought that there are some videos that could not be captured, only could be screen captured. But in their ad, Replay Media Catcher says they can capture any video.

  2. Because it uses screen recording now, not downloading the original file like it used to do

If you can see it, you can record it with any screen recorder, even free ones

  3. Got it. My understanding is that screen capture is very cpu/memory intensive, something I don't have. Also, produces worse result than true capture.

  4. Yes, downloading the original file is more ideal - you get original quality and filesize

Screen capture can be resource intensive, it depends on many things like resolution, frame rate . You're capturing a uncompressed RGB signal, so the filesize will be enormous. But if you screen capture using a more compresseed lossy codec to reduce the filesize, the quality will decrease as well

Somebody (qualified and unbiased) needs to extensively test and then review TubeDigger, which currently has zero reviews here on VH. Ditto for MediaBox. (I've obtained good results with some videos, using the latter's predecessor, the Coojah / Blader duo.) I'm certainly unbiased, though also much less qualified than many. And, as I've noted before, the videos I wanted to capture have been rather few and far between. Otherwise, I'd volunteer for this.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.
