Hi,
I have a Sony EVO-9650P which I want to use to digitise some 8mm tapes.
If I play back a tape with frame memory set to DNR, the picture flickers. If I play it back in any other frame memory mode, the picture is fine (but I don't get the advantages of DNR mode).
I've had a brief look inside, but couldn't see anything obvious (like bulging or leaking caps).
Has anyone seen this problem on similar kit? Does anyone have any ideas what I can try? Is this just a sign that the VCR is nearing the end of its life?
Thanks!
