  1. Hi, this is the first post that i've made, and ofcourse it is to ask for help...
I have been trying to find an avi divx program that gives me the chance of viewing widescreen to fullscreen movies, i have tried bsplayer changing the aspect ratio, it looks awful, what makes me wonder though, is how come it is possible to do the same thing from power dvd when watching dvd movies without distorting the image, (Option not available when watching avi's). I hope you can help, i have looked the net like crazy with no succes, and i apologize if someone already posted a solution for this matter, but i looked through the forum up and down and nothing.

  2. First of all why the HELL do you want fullscreen movies? Every educated person on the face of the earth knows the advantages of widescreen.

    1. Widescreen is the real perspective on the movie.

    2. Fullscreen is simply zooming in on the center of the movie Ex. Zoom in on the center of a picture. You loose sometimes more than half of the movie/picture.

    3. I think almost anyone on this site would back me on this point.

  5. First, I don't understand why some people have to give their opinion even when they are not asked to, i guess it is only to try to give the impression that they know what they are talking about, when in reality they aren't. (OJ Simspon).

Second, To know the difference between widescreen and fullscreen doesn't make you an educated person OJ Simspon, something i can clearly prove for the way you reply to this message. I know the difference between widescreen and fullscreen, but i have my reasons for why i want to watch my movies in fullscreen, BUT you are not the one to know them.

Third, if you don't have anything intelligent to add to a post, you better not make a fool of yourself, you better listen to what others have to say instead of adding crap to the forum.

Finally, you are NOT the center of the world, and i certainly don't give a shit about your opinion.

Thanx to all the other members of the forum for your reply.

Another option (an excellent one, I think) is to use MicroDVD Player. This player, among many other things, lets you choose between different levels of zoom, from the movie´s original size to fullscreen, as you want.

    The oficial site is http://www.tiasoft.de/
The version 1.3 is being sold, however the version 1.2 is freeware, just go to the download section and be happy!

    I highly recommend this player.

u could convert it to mpeg or re-encode the avi by zooming in.

Oh and i'm educated and I still prefer full screen because I have a FULL SCREEN TV and wide screen puts those nasty bars on top and bottom of screen.

  10. Well we don't want to fill the server dissing me. So i'll quietly retreat while you miss half of your movie because you don't like "those nasty bars". Widscreen T.V or not its still the better show. I acept this and bought a DVD player to see "those nasty bars". To show you i'm not the only "educated person" out there here is a link to a very well established DVD site about animorphic widescreen.
