DENON DVD-1500 does not play any discs...

I have a dvd player mentioned above. The thing is that after exchanging the optical pickup it does not play any discs.
The motor spindles, the display shows "LOADING", the disc rotates for several seconds and then stops, and the display shows "0:00:00".
And that's that. And I cannot figure out what is the matter.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
Or perhaps where i could possibly get the service manual for the specified model?

Before replacing it behaved just the same as it does now.

That laser inside the pickup unit needs to find and track a spot on a disc that is thinner than one of your arm hairs... I'm pretty sure a guy with a small screwdriver is going to be able to adjust that correctly.

But from what I've heard, the laser should be adjusted correctly in a company that makes it. Am I wrong?
