When I took this video loaded at 1080p

out of my cache with Videocacheview, it plays in Kmedia player with black bars on top and bottom, however it isn't that way on Youtube. Why is this?.
In converting to mpeg-ll with Super, I had to choose cropping set at 2 top and bottom to get rid of them.

The downloaded video is indeed 16:9 letterboxed into a 4:3 frame. YouTube has the option of adjusting the formatting of videos that have already been uploaded:

It looks like the formatting is applied during playback by the Flash player.
