I recently got this DVD player but cannot play all the disks I have because they are different regions. I was wondering if anyone knows how to unlock this player. Thanks for any help.

After more research I found a way of changing the region code of the player that works. Turn it on, and open it. Now enter 9879 and the region code you want. Probably you just want it to play any region, if so press 0. Then it should say the the player's region has been changed to region 0.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully it will help others. However, would you mind telling us what part of the world you live in (North America, Europe, Australia, etc.)? The reason I am asking is that some hacks only work on models sold in specific regions and they don't work at all in the same model as sold in other parts of the world due to hardware differences.

I live in and bought the dvd player in China though I am American. Specifically when I look at the model number on the back it says DVP-3300/93. So I don't know if that helps you anything or gives more info. But hopefully this will also work for others. I don't see why it wouldn't. I tried and it will also switch to region 1 as well as 0 and it started on region 6.
