    Hi,

I'm using 'The Film Machine' to try and convert a few TV episodes from mkv to dvd. I'm having a problem with a couple of the episodes though, where The Film Machine won't allow me to join them as they have a different amount of audio channels, one having 6 (5.1), and the other only 2 (stereo). How do I convert the mkv's stereo audio so that it has 6 channels? I know it won't be able to create 5.1 out of the stereo track, but it could just copy the stereo audio across 6 channels.

    Any Ideas?

For a TV episode you'd probably be better off converting the 5.1 to stereo. My audio conversion tool of choice is still besweet with a second to audacity.

hi, thx for the reply. I would rather move it up to 6 chan from 2 as every other episode I have is in 6 chan so it would save on conversion times.

    I had a look at besweet... it doesn't recognise .mkv's ?

Use mkvextract to demux the video and audio so you have just the audio to work with.
