    Cuurent version 10.10 Ubuntu.

Have projects going in separate workpanes some unsaved. Current Firefox full screen workpane is frozen.

Mouse is active but clicks non-responsive.

Are there keyboard shortcuts that will force a save or work pane move?

    Alt-Tab didn't work.

Goal is to save open apps before reboot.

Thanks, will try that. I'll keep it running in this semi locked state in hope of suggestions. Otherwise it will be a late night.

    An update,

First I tried Alt+SysRq+R and the other suggesteed options. Firefox still appeared frozen and wouldn't respond to the mouse.

Then I loaded the install disc. The disc window opened and the keyboard became active. The other programs were still running so no data was lost.
