    My VCDs I make and play now speed up for a split second when playing, a previous VCD I made had no problem, I burned it under Win98SE now i'm burning under XP, anyone else having apex stuttering or sync problems?

    It is the firmware on the DVD player. Pause the movie and then start it over, it should fix the stuttering. If it annoys you that much, return it to wal-mart for another one. They have fixed the firmware in all the 2002 apex's

    Firmware 4 got the dvd player less than a year ago.
    And my older VCD still plays just fine :|

    Yeah, I got mine a year ago and have frimware 1...it sucks, I might take it back for a replacement!!
