i managed to get 720p xvid ac3 movie and using ulead video studio 11.5 with all my codec installed the sound and video are in sync after movie is edited and produced and the video is produced with the same "general" settings as the original video IE. codec , resolution , bitrate , FPS ,
my video problem is ,
( the original "quality factor is 0.70 b/px and the produced file is 0.43 b/px " i dont know how to adjust the quality factor. )
my audio problem is ,
( i see 6 channel ac3 in original and i can only chose stereo under ac3 or else is says "unable to load audio driver i tried to install some file says 6 channel for my pc although it didnt change anything , i searched the ulead fourms and other places and it seems to be a lost cause (even the admin at ulead thinks there is no way to use ac3 with a avi container.lol) to try and fix that. so i first produced the file with no edits and only changed the audio to ac3 stereo and then edited it so that when i produce it no change is made to the audio codec although i still recieve melted cut scenes.
now my main question is is their anyway to stop the melting screen issue. after the movie is all said and done in some of the edits right where the movie was edited the screen will blur with pixels into the next frames, well best way to describe it is you can still see the old scene for a few second and while the other scene is playing out they kinda blur together with what appears to be a melting melting for only 1-2 after 1-2 seconds its fine. looks very tacky say i have 30-40 cuts on average is it annoying.
btw... i never ever have this issue doing edits, cuts when starting with a original dvd that i ripped the main movie to the hd and used autoGK (THANK YOU FOR WHOEVER MADE THIS AWESOME APPLICATION) to create a nice quality xvid with stereo ac3. it seems to only happen with 720p and 1080 xvids. where the audio is a 6 channel ac3 rather then the autoGK produced file that is 2 channel or stereo ( i am quessing they are the same )
i dont know is the problem is with the quality factor or the audio or the many other options within the ulead settings. has anyone ever been able to overcome this melting screen issue? or know how to fix the audio or how to adjust if even possible the quality factor of a xvid?
btw...this never happens while editing a animation film . toy story 3 1080p xvid ac3 6 channel was fine...LOL
thank you for your time in reading this thread.

Not a user guide. Moving you to Newbie/General Forum.
Generally, if you use about the same settings as the original file and re-encode the video, you will lose quality. To lessen the quality loss, you can use a higher bitrate than the original (About 1/3 higher) and retain more of the quality. Some encoders have a 'Quality' setting that will do this for you. The downside is that the file will also increase in size.
I don't use Ulead, so someone else here may have to assist you with that.
And welcome to our forums. -
thank you ! what program do you use if any that has the ability to produce 730p -1080p xvid with sound in sync? with ulead i can edit a 2 1/2 hours movie with anywhere from 30-60 cuts in about 4 hours , the cut start and end controls are easy to use.
