    Create a slideshow DVD with your intro only. Then, load your original DVD in PgcEdit, and select "Macros -> Import First-Play (startup) Clip". Follow the instructions. But you WILL need to create a small "DVD" of your photos first(as stated). I remember seeing a guide for all of this somewhere....can't find it right now.

  3. To create a small slide show, I use DVD Lab Pro 2. The free demo version is sufficient.

    Welcome saqu

    Might try

    Dvdslideshowgui ... create the slideshow video required ... you need to keep in mind the fps as it should be the same as that for the dvd title you have.

    Subtitleworkshop ... For creating the subtitle ... save as srt

    Vob2mpeg ... strip the dvd title out as mpeg

    I dont recall what dvdslideshow generates as output ... if mpeg then thats done ... but if vob then repeat the strip out to mpeg phase as for the dvd.

    From here use dvdflick ... add slideshow first then dvd video ... click the slideshow to highlight it then select edit over to the right ... through here you add the subtitle and chapters if needed.

    Then you need to check through the following

    1: "project settings" ... burning especially ... create iso ... accept
    2: "menu settings ... choose and preview ... accept
    3: Down below in dvdflick you need to enter "destination folder" ... browse and select ... make sure nothing resides in the chosen folder or it will be deleted.
    4: Finally after all is done ... select "create dvd"

    Once completed playback the final iso in vlc and check all works well.

    If so you can burn the iso to dvd using imgburn

    ====

    For problems related to navigation errors you can us pgcedit to modify vm commands ... if you need a hand just ask.

    Should the final project be larger than media allows you can use shrinkto5basic ... files > open iso ... for sl media set target size as custom and then to 4250 ... output to another folder ... that should take sort that problem.

    Where DL media may be used you should in dvdflick include the chapter list from your dvd ... this will give imgburn a better choice when it comes to selecting an appropriate layer break position ... ChapterXtractor will be handy for this task.

    ====

    As you can see there are quite a few ways of getting there ... these are all freeware and if you get sidetracked just ask for help.
