  1. I have several DVDs that were created using a combination of DVD Shrink, IMG Tool and DVD Decrypter. I recently purchased a Western Digital My Book 3TB and wanted to copy the DVDs onto it. Put DVD in laptop drive, opened with Computer, did a drag and drop to transfer VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. In order to watch the movies I'd double click on the VIDEO_TS (IFO) file in the VIDEO_TS folder, which would automatically bring up WinDVD. And it worked just fine.

Until today. Suddenly when I do this, WinDVD tells me "stop media read error". And windows media player jams up too.

The DVDs themselves play just fine when they're in the drive, in fact I can open them with Computer and click their VIDEO_TS files and they work perfectly well, this error only occurs when I try to play the copied files directly from the MyBook (E Drive). ???

I'm guessing there is some sort of problem getting the movie players to go look in the MyBook for the files, but what would that be and why would it only have started happening today?

I have no particular attachment to the process I'm currently using, if it would help to put the files through dvd decrypter or even create an ISO file instead of the TS folder, that would be fine. Just want to play my movies!
