    Hi There

I have been looking for a forum that specialises in films/dvd/conversion so I hope I have gone to correct forum.

Basically, although a relatively experience pc user, I find this sector confusing.

I have been given some films on a memory stick and apart from other format details (which I can provide) they are all AVI.

I can of course play them on my Toshiba laptop, but want to learn the correct and simple way to convert to the correct format to play on my Sony tv/Sony dvd player.

I have XP/SP3 and the progs I have are
    wmp 10
    Nero OEM
    Toshiba Sonic "Record Now"
    Prism Video File Converter
    DVD Flick

I will attach the list of films concerned showing the AVI format, and you will see that I have converted some to WMV and the odd one to MP4.

I would appreciate any help available and as simple as possible.

I think the main help would be, if I am given same again off pal and they are AVI, what format should I use to enable them to be shown on my, or my sons dvd player attached to tv.

Thanks for reply, as posted, I already have DVDFlick so I could have/and have looked at that myself, I was hoping for a bit of 1 to 1 off an experienced member

DVDFlick is the only program worth a damn on your list. I'd stick with that one.

I hear what you say thanks, I used it last night so will burn a film to see if it worked, in meantime, I am trying to attach a list of films discussed so you can see format bit attachment does not seem to attach.

You won't/shouldn't get any help here for pirated movies.
    Have a good one,
