  1. Hello everybody,

I have a weird problem. I was normally burning divx movies , and I was able to watch them normally on my dvd player.
Now, when I start multisession on Nero, add a couple of movies, and later when I continue multissesion and add couple of more movies I can't see or play added movies on dvd player. It works fine on pc and other dvd player. Is there a solution? DVD player is Samsung. Thanks in advance.

Some players simply may not like or recognize multisession discs. It's possible your Samsung player is one of those players.

Most players won't correctly read multi-session discs. Most read only the first session, some read only the last. Best avoided. Either use re-writables until you have completed a disc, then copy it all to a new disc, or get a media player that reads USB HDDs, and get TB's of space to play with

  4. Did you at least finalize the discs? Until you do that there is no table of contents for the player to read.

  5. Yes, I finalized the discs later. No luck. My player is to blame and there is nothing I can do about it. Thanks anyway. I will have to burn all at once and that's it.But so many burned discs are wasted.. Shame...

  6. It might be cheaper to get a new player.

mirzoni - The reality is that multisession burns are usually not supported on most playback devices. Why don't you just burn to +/-RW discs for watching but burn to +/-R discs for archiving when you have enough stuff to fill up a disc? I never do multisession burns - never. Not worth the hassle. Everything I burn is "disc at once" and finalized.

  8. Actually, if you're thinking of re-burning all your DVDs, why not just use a media player that can play videos off a USB drive or a network share? Copy all your DVDs to a hard drive and keep them as backups.
