I am working adding subtitles in movies. Sometimes, like now, I have too many italic lines to put in a movie. I know DVD-Lab has a place to set italic styles in separated lines. But its method is far worse, because I have to set them one by one, I mean, line by line, using mouse (no hotkey). And searching in a dropdown list, 3 mouse clicks for each italic. The movie I'm working now has about 100 lines with italic style...
The SRT file I create has <i> and </i> tags to set italics, but the program ignore them. Read the line as it was ordinary font. DVD-Lab creates a SP1 (binary) file where it puts the subtitle. I've already search and seek for that format and any program that can generate the same file that can accept italics tags. No success.
Do you guys know any program that could accept subtitles files with italic tags and create a SP1 file, or even author a DVD?
My idea is to use DVD-Lab with SP1 file from other program, because I'm familiar with DVD-Lab and know its capabilities. If it's not possible, to find another program to author DVD that can recognize italic tags from subtitle files. Better if it is a free one.
