I converted a movie(avi file) to mpeg-2, so far so good, but when I recorded it on a dvd-r, it crashes presented in two parts but the "MPEG-2 file" was not with these problems, so I shot again in a "dvd + rw" and had no crashes, works perfectly!

My burner is the problem? or I was using a very bad quality media?

    dvd-r = maxell

    dvd+rw = ellcom

    i rly don't understand it ;p

Need more information about the system in use.

Go into control panel > system > hardware > device manager > click on the plus symbol in front of "dvd/cd rom drives" > note what device is listed in this group.

Second > software used to burn media ?
