Last night I asked how you could convert a movie's multiple VOBs into a single DivX file.

Okay, now I've leared you can just merge the VOBs before you convert them, using DOS's COPY command (or a GUI merge applet).

But what if the VOBs use different audio tracks? For example, here's a set:

(VOB 1) track 1 is normal audio
(VOB 2) track 1 is director's narration; track 2 is normal audio
    (VOB 3) same as 3
(VOB 4) track 1 is normal audio

If you merge them before you convert, how can you select the right audio??

    Thanks for the help!

Use cladXP to rip the DVD then you can choose which soundtrack to rip, put the VOBs into DVD2AVI and it puts them alltogether aswell as splitting the video and audio, no need to go into dos then use virtualdub to put the audio and video backtogether at the same time converting to DiVX simple

    Thanks very kindly.

Since I asked, though, I've learned about FAT32's 4-GB file-size limit, so it looks like I'm stuck with separate files after all.

    Cheers, Ander
