A long time ago I made a VCD with subtitle (hardsub). Now I need this subtitle.
I've tested several programs like SubRip with no sucess.
OK then, I had an idea: extracting all the frames with Virtualdub + SubLog Extractor.
I'm using FreeOCR to convert every bmp to txt, but this process takes a long time and it's not accurated. The program warns: "For best results set your scanner to 300 DPI Greyscale, 200 DPI is the minimum setting to achieve acceptable results."
I've opened the first bmp file in an image editor and noticed the resolution: 96x96 DPI.
Does anybody know how can I extract all the frames in 200 DPI? Is it possible?

The software is talking about scanning text on paper -- you want to scan at 200+ dpi so there is enough detail for the software to recognize the characters. The subs in your BMP files are already "scanned" at a low resolution. Enlarging them probably won't help, it won't create more detail.
