Ahhh, where have the old days gone where these things were just a standard and easily put on any video which you would take? Why not anymore?
I have an infamous JVC HDD GZ-MG20U in which not only gives me trouble with .MOD files (easily solved, but what I see as generally unnecessary) but also doesn't decide to show a timestamp/datestamp when I need it once the video is on my computer.
My videos will be going into the legal system, and while I'm generally new at my job, this is going to have to happen now. I can go into the stamp section on the camcorder and it'll put it in on the mini screen itself, but once transferred, nothing.
The same applies to a Panasonic HDD that I have used.
I need this videos to have a timestamp and a datestamp. I need all of that information to show on the videos I put on my computer. How do I make this possible? I've downloaded software that claim to do just that, but require DV AVI. Honestly, this is the kind of thing I would figure out myself, but I'm really lacking on time and I have enough other things to balance out.
Thank you to everyone who takes their time for my sake!
Freeware is always preferred.

So it doesn't look that good... -
What of a way that costs something? It's necessary, so if I need to pay, then so be it.
