How to tell if Disc has CSS and/or Macrovision?

Is there a particular ripper that will tell you if a disc contains CSS and/or Macrovision beforehand?

Necro? AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter (and no doubt others) both tell you whether or not CSS is in place, but my understanding was that Macrovision is done at the analog output stage and not actually flagged separately on the disc.
