too big when burning with nero

hello every one. i would like to know when burning with nero express, it comes time to put your disc in for the burn to continue, & once in, it comes up with this is the wrong disc, please use a cd-r\rw stating that is the only disc that will take that compilation. the movie is only 700mg, & a dvd is like 4.7gb, but nero say,s the file is too big & the compilation will only fit on a cd-r\rw. is there any body out there that could help me with this dilemma please?. thankyou so much.

Don't use Nero.

For all your data and DVD/BD video burning needs you really only need Imgburn.

thankyou for your reply guns 1 inger. how hard is it to use the imgburn you mention?. can you give some ideas on what to do when i down load it, & where do i download it, & is it freeware guns 1 inger?. i appreciate everything you have done for me, cheers.....

I'm just curious. What do want to burn? Is it a DVD Video or a data compilation?

No matter what ImgBurn is the app to to be used...

chief-1 - What exactly are you burning? And don't say "a movie" if you want help. Is it an ISO? A BIN/CUE file? Because what you are reporting makes no sense. Unless this mystery file is a VCD, SVCD or audio CD image file of some type, it should be able to be burned to a DVD.

Since your opening post mentioned that the movie was 700mb, I'm guessing this is a Divx/Xvid .avi file. If that's the case, you would want to build a data disc, not Video DVD. If that's not the case, you need to provide more details about the video file type and what you want to play it on.

i was using dvd shrink version 3.2, it got 3 quarters of the way through then stopped saying it encounted an error & it can,t continue. what,s up with that?. has anyone else experienced this?.

hello everyone.... the reason i have said thankyou for all your help i have found a way round it, is because my way round it was, not have the problem fixed, because the answer i want is apparently illegal & on one of the threads it said " don,t say you downloaded a movie " you can only copy movie,s that you own. so you see i still have the problem, i just have,nt continued to address it guy,s. now to jman98, you judged me before you knew the details of my situation. having read what you have read now jman98, i would like an apology from you for your misjudgement of me. now to guns 1 inger thankyou for being understanding of the situation, if in the future i can help with what i find online, i will be happy to thread on this site. whilst helping myself, i,m happy to help others guy,s. i hope you can forgive me jman98 now that you know what happened, i have done nothing wrong. think about it jman98. i look forward to hearing from you again with your apology for misjudging me in the manner that you did so. thankyou !!!

thankyou for your support & trust sir, what i have said in my reply is the truth cobra pilot. i suffer from a condition thats makes it hard to concentrate at times. learning for me is harder cobra pilot because of this condition, & some times i get so stressed about how to work things out, i just give up, thats why i said i found a way round it. thankyou again cobra pilot for your kind words.
