Thinking of getting a blu-ray player, and wondering if my system is perhaps to old for it to really make any difference in the picture quality.
I'd have a uxga cable running from a video switcher (Kramer VP-728) to a projector (Sanyo PLC-XU55) with 1024x768 resolution.
I can give more specs if need.
The question is: will blu-ray look any better than normal dvd with this setup, or would a new projector be needed?

might work ok, but you may need to use the DVI-I x 1 (w/HDCP) input. should look better than DVD source material.

hmm...yes, there is that...1080p...alright, yes, i'm pretty sure it'll work.
Thanks!
(btw, for future reference, in which category would i put a question like this?) -
i think the projector only accept up to 1080i not p.
newbie/general is fine or under hardware/blu-ray players would have worked also.--
