Chapters trimmed when demuxed!!

Hi guys,

I have a problem that's driving me mad, I'm putting a subtitle file into a DVD movie (VIY 1967- PAL 25.00 FPS), it's not my first time at all, I've done this hundreds of times, but this time when I tried to demux the video using PGCDemux, the resulting m2v file was missing the last two chapters (18+19), I tried to demux these separately but I've got this for both of the last chapters:



So I tried to use other demuxers like DVD Decrypter and Rejig, they demuxed the whole movie but the first 15 seconds of chapter 18 was missing, it's weird but it happened and I'm really shocked, I tried to extract only chapter 18 using the same applications but I've got the chapter missing the first 15 secs, so what can do please!

Re-rip the disc.

ok hech54, I will, but I've checked my ripped DVD and it's working just fine, nothing is missing, will re-rip and let you know

If you re-rip it with the same "possibly" outdated software you will get the same result.

Hey hech54, I've tried using DVD Fab and again using DVD Decrypter (updated), with no use, any other suggestions?!

From the image you first posted, it looks like you were pulling from VTS_04, which is most likely not part of the main movie. It is probably and "Extras" section, like an image gallery (which would explain the absence of an audio stream).

Just a theory, as I don't know your exact source for the rip.

my main movie happens to be in VTS_04 since the dvd contains lots of special features, what I'm trying to do right now is to re author the DVD using DVD Shrink cause Shrink could recognize the full chapter and could extract it perfectly, I'm working on it now and I'll let you know if it works, thanks guys

You don't have 'By PGC' ticked. If you're demuxing by VOB ID, then that could explain it. Check the drop-down box for a second VOB ID. Then tick 'By PGC' and start over.

If your comeback is that's how the guide says to do it then, well, the guide is wrong.

manono, I've posted the shot where I was trying to extract cell 18 alone, so I had to tick By Cell, when I ticked by PGC and extracted the whole movie, it was missing the last chapters (18+19) as I've mentioned before!
However, I don't know how, it worked by re authering the DVD using DVD Shrink, I muxed using Muxman joining my subtitles then I replaced the vobs using VobBlanker, anyway I'm getting a new kind of shitty situations I've never been to, I opened the resulting DVD in IfoEdit to modify some info but what I've got is this:



of course this message was followed by loads of error messages so I doubted I made something wrong so I went back to the original copy and tried to modify it but I've got the same problem!!

Problem's been solved, I used correct ifo in vob extras in IfoEdit, it's working fine now, thanks everyone!!
