Guys
I got a video pulled from a Speco DVR. The quality is good in the original DRV format and when played through their software. I was told to download the Central management software to convert to AVI which I did from the link below but it screws up the dimension (It's stretched out). Tech Supp tells me there is no way to change that
http://www.specotech.com/software.htm
Is there any other software that can keep the original dimension or which can correct the dimension after CMS converts it? I think the former looks more probable. I don't care about the final format as long as I can post it on youtube (it's a theft video that I want to popularize to possibly catch the thief)
Thanks guys

you can always re-encode to any size you want. youtube likes h264 video so an easy way might be handbrake if it will accept your input. on the picture tab select none in the anamorphic dropdown, uncheck keep aspect ratio and then adjust the size to whatever you want.

That's done and I was able to bring down the aspect ratio. I also need to cut the video before uploading and VirtualDub does not support MP4. Any other apps I can use for cutting part of it?
