Looking for a list of hardware from 1-3 for fastest encoding results.
Currently my CPU average and RAM reads 60% (cpu) ~1.5GB Ram Usage.
going @ 150 FPS.
From this im assuming my cpu speed is slowing the whole process down?

Speed is not everything when it comes to video encoding. Certainly not where quality is concerned.
The CPU is, I believe, the most important item. Then comes the memory which should be matched to the MB. The graphics card does not normally play any part of that unless its own memory can be used AND the encoding program can make use of the GPU.Last edited by DB83; 11th Aug 2010 at 15:17.

What encoder are you talking about? Generally, CPU speed and number of cores/threads is most important. But some encoders don't make good use more than a handful of cores/threads.
