Some of the files are FLV files. You probably need an FLV Splitter and the appropriate codecs.
-
What do you convert with? Try winff, xmedia recode and format factory.

hi, thanks to jagabo and baldrick for replying to my query, unfortunately the flv splitter won't be accepted when i run it,as you suggested i install the file and run it to register but the message comes up can't locate file requested!
thanks for your help all the same.

Are you running 64 bit Windows? If so, you might need to use this special procedure to install 32 bit codecs and file readers/splitters:
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/271712-Lame-MP3-Encoder-on-Vista-x64
Or find a 64 bit FLV splitter. Note that with 64 bit Windows: 32 bit programs require 32 bit codecs, 64 bit programs require 64 bit codecs. -
hi jagabo, thanks for getting back to me,i am running windows xp home edition on system32,hope this helps.

After downloading the ZIP file extract FlvSplitter.ax to your \Windows\System32 folder. Then select Start -> Run. Paste the following line into the Run dialog that pops up:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\flvsplitter.ax
Press the OK button. You should see a dialog that says the registration suceeded. Now Windows knows that FLV files are video files and knows how to open them. -
hi jabago, the application was accepted by windows but it still won't open the rm file.

FLV Splitter is for opening FLV files, not RM files (some of the files from the site you mentioned are FLV files). You need an RM splitter for RM files (try RealPlayer or RealAlternative). I thought you said you had no problems with RM files in your first post?
