Yesterday.. I convertet a Avi film to SVCD and then merge it.. For later cut it in 4cd's.(big film). After that i burned out the Cd1 with all king of diffrent burn apps that supports svcd. The film works perfect with WinDVD on the computer. But when i play it on any standard DVDplayer for tv.. It goes 2 min and stop for 2sec and then keep going for another 2 min and then stop 2sec and so on...

Please Help me.. Im going crazy. I have tried al sorts of things..
Can it be the cds? Maybe i have cds that are to hard to read for a standalone dvdplayer..

    Thanks..

What program are you using to encode? What program are you using to cut/merge? Also, what program are you using to burn?
There is an issue when cutting with tmpeg. Usually people demux with tmpeg and cut/remux with bbmpeg.

  4. What bit rates are you using for your Audio and Video? Seeing that you are using 4xCDR, sounds like you are you using a high bit rate -- or perhaps a very long movie?

What I do, for example when doing DVD rips, is I take the avi and encode the entire movie in Tmpeg as one big mpeg file. Then, using the mpeg tools in Tmpeg, I do a simple demux of the mpeg file (this is needed if you want to use bbMpeg.) Load bbMpeg and chop it up following the directions in this excellent tutorial:

    http://www.dvdripguides.com/dvdrip2e2.html

After you do this stuff try using the VCDImagerGUI (I've had problems with VCDEasy) in the tools section at vcdhelp. I've done many movies using this software and following the above steps and they've all turned out good.

Make sure your stand alone player can play SVCD's and can play them at the bit rate you are encoding at.
