I have a damaged iso file. DVDShrink and VOBBlanker will not process it. Screen shots of errors attached.

Is there some way to delete/fix this error?

    Help appreciated, Hibbs.

    For iso images.

Mount the iso using any virtual drive ... magiciso, virtual clonedrive, daemon tools, alcohol 52%, just to name a few freewares ... once mounted you can try any number of programs or utilities to try to resolve the problem.

Sounds more likely the "dvd" title itself was not processed correctly initially and those unresolved problems were retained within the iso image.

The "mounted" iso image will require reprocessing to another directory ... give dvdfab a stab at it first.

This is a damaged iso image that I want to pack into an avi. Dvdfab will not process it either, it just hangs. I don't mind if a few seconds are lost, just need some way to fix/remove damaged area so it can be processed.

    2/12 ... anymore cells to come ?

Problem will be ... is it only seconds or minutes that are lost.

Run pgcdemux and use "via cells" ... what is 2/12's play time length ?

Is the ISO damaged, or just the DVD Video content inside it ?

Expand the ISO back to folders - even WinRAR can do this, then see if FixVTS can do anything for you, as was suggested earlier.

If not, then I suspect LordSmurf is right - time to go back and rip it correctly.

  8. there are a few things you can try. If it were me I would do the following. Open up the iso in something like ultraiso and see what if any files you could extract from it. It is very possible that whatever your error is that it could be from a company logo or trailer or extra vts file on your disc. It could also be something from the end of your film (like the credits)

I had an issue like yours were a small section was damaged (was from a burn I was given). In that film's case it was a company logo after the films end credits. It was easy to fix this error using dvdremakepro (or the free way with vob blanker) and just cut or otherwise remove the damaged section

So again if I were you, try to extract whatever files you can from this image and go from there to see what can or cannot be done with it

you can also try mounting the iso and then manually copy and paste the VIDEO_TS folder to your hard drive. If it crashes with an "unreadable or unable to copy" error during this then you can at least narow it down to what file is causing the problem

I am pretty much a noob at this stuff but I messed some more with vobblanker and ignoring errors was able to cut the damaged area, it started in the credits at the end, so no great loss. Thanks for all your input guys.
