  1. What is the best way to resize (down) animation? I've tried the bilinear filter, but the results were not as good as I want. What else could I do to improve it?

  3. It looks blocky. Before resizing... hmm... it didn't look blocky?

Edit: What I really want to do is make it look sharper I guess. Right now, it looks fuzzy, blocky etc.

  4. Are you watching the downscaled version enlarged, or at native resolution (watching at the smaller size)?

or does it look "blocky" at the downscaled size ?

Did you use compression? What kind ?

Post a screenshot or sample to illustrate

A sharper resize than bilinear would be lanczos

I uses megui for converting videos. When resizing them I choose Spline64 as algorithm. Tried Bilinear at an earlier stage and wasn't satisfied with it. I had good results with Bicubic as well. Be aware that -if using SplineXX- conversion takes a little longer.

Blocks may also be a result of too low bitrates.
