I've been putting together some DVDs with TMPGenc DVD Author and have encountered my second issue.

I want to add a video to the background menu. The problem is, I want it to be 60 seconds long. TMPGEnc will not allow it. It just keeps looping at 15 seconds.

I have changed the motion menu duration to 60 seconds under global settings. And I have unchecked and checked "loop" for both audio and video. Nothing works. It just keeps looping at 15 second anyway.

Is it possible to fix this? Or should I just try another program? And if so, which programs would you suggest? I would rather get this to work. But if it can't be done I will try something else.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Use another program.
    Buy this ($25): http://www.digitalFAQ.com/forum/showthread.php/ulead-dvd-workshop-2117.html

What you want is easy if the software allows for it.

I do this all the time, plus much more, using that software.

TDA is fine for menu-less discs, but that's about it. TAW4 isn't much better, just TDA+BD authoring.

Get your edits done, set your audio and video - get to the menu.

click on "global DVD menu settings"

    click on "motion menu"

click on either motion menu and background audio, or motion menu (no audio)

change the time using the BGM/motion menu duration thing by clicking "up" to increase the time or "down" to decrease it.

LS - not certain what's going on with his TDA: Mine sets fine (version 3.0 or so).

And yes, I also have U DVDW - I just haven't used it as much.

Thanks for the replies. I changed the settings again as suggested and it worked. Weird.

And thanks to lordsmurf. I downloaded the trial version. It definitely looks like a much nicer program. But I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I was trying to load DVD Video into it. And instead of loading the titles, it was loading every chapter. I'm not even sure if they were in order. It just looked like a mess to me.

It's an authoring program. It's not made for using another DVD as source.
