  2. hi,

you have actually converted them to mpeg1, your not just trying to burn the svcd mpeg as vcd are you?

best way is to rename your svcd mpeg the extension .VOB and load it into flask.

Use the avisynth plug-in to serve to tmpeg, or better still for VCD just use the panasonic plug-in in flask as /i think/ it does better mpeg1 than tmpeg.

If you've done the above and the mpeg IS a compliant vcd mpeg (not mpeg1 system) then what did you use to burn the disc? What media? does your player read CDR?

I ask because if you've done all the mpegging correctly and the picture etc is stalling and you get green mpeg blocks, then that's signs of the disc struggling to read.

  3. no im trying to put a header on my cds to "fool" my standalone so it plays SVCDs...it worked well with lord of the rings but with my selfmade SVCDs it just wont play...it has something to do with the bitrate I guess..but im not sure

you're tring to make a non compliant disc.

the higher the bit rate the faster the disc must spin.
the bitrate IS possibley too high.

why don't you just stick the mpeg back through flask and convert to VCD, or if your player does them xVCD. I'm told a xVCD with a bit rate of 1200KbPs looks a LOT better than standard VCD.
