I have the following problem, thank you in advance for your help.

Recently I purchased a LG DVRK 898 DVD Recorder/VCR combo w/HDMI and until today it seemed to work just fine. However, today I tried to connect a Topfield TF6100EMC digital receiver using a scart to the AV2 Decoder connector on the back of the dvd recorder. The digital receiver has 2 scart connectors: TV (output for connecting to a TV set) and VCR (it's both output/input for VCR's and suchalike, I guess for DVD recorders as well). I tried both the TV and VCR connectors one after another but I didnt get any results, instead, since that moment the dvd recorder started to act strange. When I turn it on it starts to read the dvd (the display says "DVD Read" tho there's no disc inside), the picture on the TV disappears and then the unit gets stucked and its not possible to eject the tray. I used a trick to open it, by disconnecting the mains first, then reconnecting again and holding the eject and the power button simultaneously for about 5 seconds. After that the unit "wakes up", the tray is ejected, the picture appears and everything works normaly, but after I turn it off and I turn it on again, the problem comes back again.

Is it possible that the connecting of the receiver somehow messed up the unit or maybe the dvd recorder just coincidentaly broke? I also tried to keep it switched off for 30 minutes and turn it on again, but that didnt help.

Also, restarting the unit according to the manual (by holding the power button for 5 sec.) did not work and restoring the factoiry settings also didnt work. Please help, thanks in advance
