I have encoded 2 avi clips (45 minutes) and under the System tab in Tmpeg used the both the Mpeg-1 VideoCD and Mpeg-1 VideoCD (non-standard) choices then burned using VCDEasy and both clips played fine in my DVD player. I was encoding both avi files using XVCD 2300 mb/sec bitrate.
Is there a difference using either Mpeg-1 VideoCD Vs Mpeg-1 VideoCD (Non-Standard)?
I know that VCD standard is 1.15 mb/sec but it didn't seem to matter which stream type I use. They both burned ok and played fine in
my DVD player.
Am I missing something here?

If I encode in Tmpeg using Mpeg-1 VideoCD or or Mpeg-1 VideoCD (non standard) stream type for a XVCD and I use Nero to burn as a compliant VideoCD, both formats work.
Is there a reason Nero accepts both streams as a compliant VideoCD?
