I'm having a problem with audio when adding a cross dissolve transition in iMovie HD. When I put the first transition in, it works fine, but every transition after that will contain audio from the first. For example, my first transition could be between 2 clips during a sporting event with crowd noise, then later in the video during a quiet moment I put a transition, I still get the crowd noise coming through from earlier for every transition on.
I've searched and discovered this is a problem others have experienced.
As recommended, I deleted the com.apple.iMovie.plist located in the User/Library/Preferences folder and repaired disk permissions using the Disk Utility.
Sometimes it will work, but not always and I delete the com.apple.iMovie.plist again.
Any suggestions to clear this problem.

Subscribed to this thread... this exact same problem is driving us nuts. Starting to dig through the Apple support/discussions site but it's a lot of material to wade through and tough to search for this specific bug.

When I used to use iMovieHD, most of the audio issues I had were from using highly compressed audio (AAC usually). Making them AIFF (yes, I know there's no improvement in quality) seemed to resolve most of the issues. Might be worth trying.
