  2. use better settings and higher bitrate

    use original BD source

your screenshots are from different movies (not comparable)

Couldn't you give a link to a good encoding profile?

Here are the screenshots of the same movie:

  4. How are you taking screenshots? it appears to be a levels issue. Compare the same frame, not a different scene with different lighting

thanks for the answer. I downloaded a sample an in fact quality is pretty similar -.-

I was taking screenshots with media player classic.

Which program do you advise me to take?

Edit: took one with virtual dub:

    Qualitty is really better

    Problem solved.

  6. That's your problem - you're using vmr9 renderless to take a screenshot , so it will look washed out. Change the renderer to Overlay Mixer in MPC (you can't take screenshots) but examine the video and see the levels difference.

It's likely a playback issue. ie. PC (0-255) vs. TV levels (16-235) , graphics card/monitor calibration, and choice of renderer

To be consistent, open each video 1 at a time in vdub, navigate to same frame, take a screenshot (i think it's ctrl+1), copy to image editor like irfanview => save as png.

This is your screenshot viewed as is (probably was decompressed to RGB using TV levels)

Expanded to PC levels (for PC display)
