I have an avi movie whchi wish to pack into an exe file with codecs so that i can guaranteethat the end user can view and play the same.
What options do i have and how can i achieve this?
Is it possible to convert the avi to swf and then pack it into an flash exe? Will the flash video be packed along with it for those who do not have the same on their PCs? Can i have a loader tooin this case as the movie is heavy and may take some time to load.

It occurs to me that winzip has a function to make a self extracting archive.

use a standard MPEG-1 codec - seems that all important OS can play MPEG-1 without external codec
