hi like the topic says i have problem streaming AVI with MPC and Mega K-Lite Pack.
i tried http streaming from megaupload for a certain RMVB file with MPC and it worked.
i tried playing an AVI file that is inside my hard disk with MPC and it worked.
i tried http streaming from megaupload for any AVI files, it will not work, it just says Opening File... and its stuck there forever.... anyone know how to solve this?

There was never, EVER any reason for you to load a codec pack. If you spend any time lurking in the forums on this site, you will learn that K-Lite and other codec packs cause video hell on computers. Most likely, there are conflicting codecs simultaneously trying to access your AVI files.

AVI files aren't designed for streaming. Typically, there is an index of keyframes at the end of the file. Most players need to read that index before playing the video. When a video is being streamed it is denied access to that list.
You might try using VLC as the player. I know it can play an AVI file without reading the index. I'm not sure what will happen when the file is from a streaming server though.
