I have recently installed Daniusoft Media Converter Pro 2.2.3.0. And have been having problems when using it to convert WMV video files.
The file I am trying to convert is a download from the BBC iPlayer.
I have tried converting to AVI and MP4, but the converted file never has any sound. I have tried this on 2 different computers, both running Windows 7.
I have also installed the K-Lite Codec pack, which has not helped.
I have used Daniusoft to convert music files, and this works fine.
This is a new area for me so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Can you play the source video(s) with no problems in any player other than Windows Media Player?

You might run the .wmv through MediaInfo, in Tree View, and cut and paste the resulting information here. There could be something about the way the file is encoded that the converters don't like.If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

The presence of the 'Encryption' fields make me suspect that the file has DRM. (I thought it might, but I wanted to make sure - that's why I asked you to try playing it in something other than Windows Media Player, as that (theoretically) won't have a problem getting the license(s) needed to play the file.)

Problem is, most converters won't be able to handle a video encoded with DRM. (I'm afraid I don't know how to remove it, either, sorry.) If removing the DRM isn't an option, you can also use a video capture utility to capture the video as it's playing in Media Player, and save it to whatever format video you prefer. If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

Regarding Daniusoft, besides that it cracks the copy protection from the files, it doesn't work. Let me tell you my experience with this soft. An year ago, I think, I bought two dvs from an online store. Since I've bought them from my father's laptop, I could play them but only on that laptop. So, I started to search for a converter which could be able to convert my protected wmv. Tried Daniusoft, as I found on some forums that it's a good one, but unfortunately this app didn't recognize any of my two dvds. So, it didn't convert my protected files and my files were blocked on my that laptop. Still, I've search a little bit more and also found Tunebite Converter which really converted my protected wmv and legally, because it rerecords the original files and it doesn't crack the protection, so I didn't mess with the law.
And I'm still using this tool and upgraded to its last version which has much more features than the previous one...
  Good luck!! Good luck!!
